Bare Necessities Unscented Tallow Balm is a simple, fragrance-free face and body moisturizer made with just two ingredients: organic, grass-fed and finished beef tallow and organic, cold-pressed olive oil. Designed for sensitive, reactive, and delicate skin, it provides deep hydration while supporting the skin’s natural barrier.
Naturally rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, this tallow-based balm closely mimics the skin’s natural oils to help soothe dryness and irritation without essential oils, added fragrance, or synthetic additives. It is gentle enough for babies and well-suited for eczema-prone skin and daily use.
Available in Whipped (lightweight, easy to spread) and Original Balm (denser, salve-like) textures, Bare Necessities can be used on the face, hands, body, or anywhere skin needs simple, effective moisture.

I have used this tallow on my face for just over a year. I used to struggle with acne super bad, but since I’ve simplified my face routine, it has cleared up completely besides some hormonal breakouts. When I ran out, I figured I’d go to a place that carries this rather than order. Unfortunately they only had the frankincense scented tallow in store so I bought that. BAD idea, I have had awful, painful breakouts. I just went ahead and reordered the unscented and my skin is slowly doing much better! In my experience the unscented is the way to go.

I love everything that Alpine Gold creates. The unscented tallow is great for it's versatility and for sharing with others. Being able to add a scent or using it for scrapes and burns is also an added bonus. I recommend any and all of these products because I know the integrity behind them. Perimenopause dried my skin out everywhere. Alpine Gold Tallow is all natural, handmade, and the only thing that works. I love it.
I have used beef tallow balm in the past but this is the first product that I have tried that is whipped and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! This is my second purchase of the unscented and I plan to keep using!
